Travelling to Glasgow During the Common Wealth Games
With the Common Wealth Games coming to town Glasgow is expecting many visitors; which is likely to increase your travelling time if you are visiting our Glasgow clinic. If you have an appointment at our Glasgow clinic during the Common Wealth Games our advice is to plan your journey in advance. Please allow for plenty of time and aim to arrive 1 hour before.
Public transport will be running throughout the games, with many providers adding extra services, however normal service times may also be altered so it is best to check in advance with the service providers if you are planning on making your way into the city centre using public transport.
Our Glasgow clinic is easily accessible by train; we are only a 5 minute walk from Glasgow Central and Glasgow Queen Street Stations.
As it is expected to be a busy time we would recommend purchasing your tickets in advance.
First Bus provide many routes to the city centre, bus stops are as little as a 2 minute walk from our Glasgow Clinic. However some of the First bus services will be affected by road closures during the Common Wealth Games and diversions will be in place, so please allow plenty of time for your journey.
For more information on which services will be affected visit First bus website.
